But since we belong to the day, let us be sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet the hope of salvation.
— 1 Thessalonians 5:8 ESV
The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light.
— Romans 13:12 ESV
Spiritual warfare is a reality for the Church. In 1 Thessalonians, the Apostle Paul reminds us to see it in the light of Christ’s second coming, and therefore to “put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation”. Likewise in Romans, it is to “put on the armour of light” as contrast to living in darkness. To contend biblically with spiritual warfare is then to live with faith, love, hope and light in absolute assurance of victory when Christ comes again.
In IDMC Conference Singapore 2024, our speakers will bring us through the following plenary topics:
- Church Under Attack
- Truth Under Attack
- Family Under Attack
- Discipleship Under Attack
- Faith Under Attack
- Leadership Under Attack
The workshops consist of four key domains – missions, marketplace, social justice, and media influence. With interactive exchanges, field practitioners will share their God-stories to enlarge our perspectives in these areas. In this 30th year of IDMC Conferences, two new initiatives have been launched for discipleship:
- IDMC Special Sessions – at the end of Day 1, there will be three special sessions for close-up
interactions with our speakers. Details can be found in the following pages. - IDMC X-Change – IDMC partners will be setting up ministry booths to share their God-given mission and God-stories. Do take the time to find out more, interact and participate.
May IDMC Conference 2024 inspire you afresh to make disciples for Jesus.
